Friday Morning Ramblings!

When it comes to gardening, I'm one of those people who could be just lucky to plant a twig and see it grow without even tending to it. Hikhik! Actually, it is the hubby who does the gardening. Earlier this year, a friend gave me a dill plant for me to grow. After some time, the dill grew so tall in a pot which I first transferred it into.

One Sunday evening, about a couple of months ago, I got a shock of my life when I found my garden dill had been chopped down off their stems. It was hubby who did the trimming which led to the chopping! I was appalled at first, but knowing nothing was good to pick up a fight with the 'gardener', I chose to forget about it.  I no longer bothered to tend about my garden for a long while.

Until... I found this:

My garden dill - it became bushy, far from the first time it was  planted...
I wonder where did the spike-like leaves go to?

the original garden dill... rupanya masih ada satu pokok
yang 'terselamat'! :-)

Oh yes, we had these for iftar yesterday :

Sayur campur goreng kering

Bendi celur bersambal masak...

Kari isi ikan kerisi tak berampai! :-D
(tak berampai means, takde bendi or terung!)

That's all for now! ;)

Lili,
NOw my maid is here, I can play gardening. dia tukang tanam , I tukang sibuk2 je.
I haven't been cooking makanan glamer2 now, lucky I've trained my maid well enough for her to cook malaysian dishes. Kl malas, order je dia..

As,

Good for you! Dari gardening ke cooking boleh suruh maid!
I ni suka tengok pokok2 tapi malas to garden. Mujur hubby suka gardening. Dill tu pun I belum menafaatkan lagi. Ingat nak letak dalam rendang...hikhik...boleh ke? Sebab bau dill macam bau daun kunyit.

Eh, I pun mana masak glamer2nya... simple kapadia jer! :))

k.lili, sedapnya bendi tu. tapi my hubby tak makan bendi, sebab angin. kalau makan bendi je, dia akan kena uluran.

hijau jugak tangan k.lili. i were the one yg tanam dill tu, mau mati lama dah. tangan panas! hehe

Shidah,

Memang sedap bendi tu...first time makan kat umah kawan, tapi dia potong2kan bendi tu... I'd prefer it whole macam kita buat ulam bendi.:)

Uluran tu apa dia, ek?

About the gardening...kak lili ni main ikut peredaran masa...musim kawan2 sibuk mengangkut anak pokok kat nursery kita ikut jer...pastu tak pasal2 pi beli. Last2 hubby yg kena take over! But I admit, tanam pokok selalu menjadi, cuma nak belai2 - not my cuppa! Hehe!

Shidah pernah masak guna dill tak?
Sedap bau dia...selalu tgk recipe salmon chefs letak dill. Dgn seafood it goes well I presumed.

k.lili, uluran is angin sesat dalam badan. org pantai timur panggil uluran, tak sure what's the commercial name for uluran :)

tak pernah lagi guna dill in cooking. selalu tgk jamie oliver guna. :D
