Tea Treats

Yeah, you got it right... I too have been bitten by the 'orange-cake-baking-bug'! It seems that most blogs I visited last month had come out with this simple yet gorgeous cake. Credits were given from one cook to another. And my thanks to friends Shidah Sizuka and Somuffins CS for inspiring me to bake again! I have been lazy to bring out the baking utensils for months now...hehe... my very lame reason for reasons!

To tell you the truth, I had been baking this cake before... numerous times, but had no inkling it was a Sicilian Orange cake. My version has always been that humble Orange cake! But there is no harm to go with the flow, considering the comfort, cakes are to our palate. And not to mention, the joy of baking...

Lets have tea! ;-)

Glad to know that we have inspired you to bake the cake, cewah. My thanks to Rima (have you visited her blog?); dia yg menaikkan semangat I yang agak mendatar nih.

Ada lagi kek tak?

Salam Cs & Shidah..

CS,

Susah kan kalau takde inspirasi? Ada orang nak push, baru nak buat!

I've visited Rima's blog a few times when I saw her call-sign kat your blog and Shidah's. Tapi segan nak tinggal print. Maybe some other time.

Shidah,

Selalunya gitu kan, bila tengok kawan buat kita pun nak buat. Semangat!

And Rima's cakes are sure winners! Kak Lili ni dah tak berapa rancak buat kek like I used to dulu2. Hehe!

When I extended my thanks to both of you, in a way, my gratitude goes out to Rima too and whomsoever she might owe the recipe to. InsyaAllah, benda baik, pahalanya berpanjangan. :)

Syabas !!

Masa anak2 masih kecik, kerajinan I ada lebih sket sbb apa yg I buat, diorang makan. Sekarang it's totally a different story. I buat bila diorang suruh; ekceli lbh senang gitu tapi kadang2 mood membaking mcm meronta2 plak, har3.

TB yg almost tak pernah makan my c'cakes, tersuka plak dgn kek oren tu (gaknya cos I add lemon + oren zest yg nyebabkan dia suka). And he has suggested to put marmalade in the batter n bake!

Tengok mood dulu, insyaallah masa raya haji I buat..

CS,

Baking is the thing of a past for me. Dulu2 boleh dikatakan tak berenti membuat kek. Sekarang ni memang malas. Tapi budak pompuan (Girl, hehehe!)kat umah I ni sibuk nak suruh buat sebab last Sunday besfren dia kat KL tengah buat cupcakes dgn mommy dia.

Last2 I jugak yg buat. Dia nak pecahkan telur sebiji pun terkial-kial...hehe...siap bawak kuor pisau potong roti lagik! Adehhh..apo nak jadi...

Hari ni I buat 2 biji...my cousin dah bawak balik ke KL on this evening!

Okay, Raya ni kita sama2 bake eh. I nak buat cupcakes and carrot cake. InsyaAllah. :)

Best kalau cakap pasal masak...harus satu kajang menulis! wahahaha)))

Sepatah kata mak n my aunty masa we all masih gadis genit sunti dulu "alahai... pegang sudip mcm pegang pensil aje" ...kih3..

nak tumpang tanya jugak...
lili... kek tu ada lagi tak???

Salam Mah,

Boleh kenal kan, orang pandai masak dgn yg tak hanya dengan cara pegang senduk sudip bagai. Hehe, lawak kak Som kata ...macam pegang pensil! Makanya, kalau pegang sudip macam pegang pensil kira 'out' lah dalam bidang masak memasak, ek?

Mah, sejak hari saya buat kek oghen tu, menjadi-jadi pulak tahap rajin saya membaking ni! Lepas gian gitu! Hahaha!

Mission esok, insyaAllah, nak buat blueberry muffins. ;-)
