Driving along the coastal road this morning heading for a meeting, at such an unimaginable place, I was greeted with a beautiful sunny morning. I have always love morning drives where there's 'happiness' in everything I see. The sea glistening in a distance and the island across seemed cheerful bathing in lots of sunshine. Almost instantly my spirit somewhat lifted. I had been in my lousiest of moods for the past few days. Getting out of the house had been rewarding after all. Making my way through the hustle and bustle of this industrial town was a breeze too, as the morning rush had gradually slowed down. The brief meeting, (between two complete strangers), was made easier when the other party had waited just before the stipulated time. Hmm... a half-way rendezvous at the lay-by at the Penang Bridge! In less than fifteen minutes... the Royal Al**** changed hands! Heheh!
(Pic: Penang Island from a distance....)
Back at home... the melancholy feelings looms. I hate it when I am all mushy and tearful. There's a lot in my mind lately... apart from my feeling under the weather over the weekend and saw myself confined in bed most of the time. Then there is this stabbing problem of my already bad eyesight. But no worries... I am okay once I have written this entry. Writing helps release the tension. It usually works! Really, I'm okay guys!
And here's my simple lunch.... so comforting, I wish I could serve everyone!
Koayteow Hor... (macam wantan hor kat Ipoh tu...)

Hi Ateh Lili, hehe..
I've never been to Penang. Jeles juga tengok lautan nan biru. I miss my Lido beach very much. Anyway, makan mee/k.tiau best dgn sayur setimbun ek? (psst.. coincidentally I have a piece of that table runner - serupa taw).
hamboihhh ateh...
makan sedappppp weyhhhh!!!
CS... then we're even, I have never been to Pantai Lido... not since I was a toddler! Pantai dekat rumah I ni dah tak cantik langsung ever since dilanda tsunami sveral years ago. Imagine, penuh dengan mangroove trees that must have been swept by the tidal waves to our shore. On the bright side, boleh tengok banyak burung2... migratory birds pun ada.
Nanti I letak gambo my favourite beach kat Queensbay... cantik... overlooking Pulau Jerjak...
Oh, I tak tahu ada jual runner macam tu. The one in the photo is a placemat. Ni kena pi cari lak runnernya. Baru cukup korum! hehe!
Nad cayang!
Nanti bila balik Ipoh CNY ni kita masak. Simple je...
Ateh tak selera makan tiga empat ari ni. Hari-hari makan nasi pun muak gak. Ateh kan bila lapo... giler punya lapo... pastu masuk dua tiga suap dah tak lalu. Makan noodles ni anytime! Hari ni rasa nak makan laksa...
Salam Ateh,
Jumpa sapa kat tengah bridge tu? It sounded like Phelps receiving his next Impossible Mission! You know the one that always end with...and the tape will self destruct in 5 seconds...
Hope you're feeling much better. This time of the year doesn't seem to agree with most ketam eh?
BTW, I love your current music selection. WOMEN POWER!
Salam Anne!
Haha! Sounds mysterious eh? Er.. kat span tak boleh buat 'date'... hehe.. ni kat lay-by as you just reach the mainland part from Penang. The lady tinggal kat Batu Ferringhi, jauh sangat nak pergi hantar... so we agreed to the said venue.
Could be the weather... but I'm used to having this fening kapla bouts when my 'best friend' comes a visit! Muahaha!
Thanks... :"> (blushing!)
lili, ampon! Tersilap tulislah, memang placemat bukan runner, hehe.
Pls forget abt Lido beach as they have a better one ie Danga Bay (tho I've never been there).

Ala... CS, tak payah mahap mahap! Hehe! Eh nak cari gak table-cloth macam tu gak...
Cik Anon: Hmm... nanti akaq balik Ipoh kita masak naa... ang punya share kita kasi menimbum sayurk.. pastu takdak letak teloq... sebab ang tak makan teloq...
Hello Lili, wow! You in Penang, near the bridge.
Readis like a clandestine meeting, ha ha.
Regret read your eyes tired.
Lili, if you have not already done so, start drinking Chinese green tea.
It is not only good for your eyes, your health, helps slimming too....but brings a glow to your self.
You stay young and keep a song in your heart. Have a nice day, Lee.
Lili, saya lupa, your kueh teow dish looks absolutely delicious! If invited, saya tentu lichin kan dua bowls, ha ha. Lee.
salam lili

U. Lee,
Thanks for the reminder... I think so too, I should give green tea a try.
Jemput makan satu pinggan dulu... hehe!
Salam Nur,
Thanks for dropping by and it is always nice to have newcomers' visits and comments...
Have a nice weekend to you!
Hmmm... lazat sungguh Kuetiaw itu. Bila agaknya kita dapat rasa ek?
Tumpang lalu,
Cik Som, Pantai Lido sedang di reclaim. Dah tak cantik lagi. Danga Bay pun bukan cantik sangat.
Oldstock,
Eh, kat JB & S'pore (and some say Batam!) banyak makanan sedap-sedap kan? Tentu ada gerai buat wantan hor. Nak posto posto macam Nur tu pun boleh... posto recipenya! Hehe!
..Tumpang sampuk...
Memang pun kat mana-mana pantai pun dah tak berapa cantik. I think the beach at Pakmat's backyard is pristine... hehe... (mesti pakmat tersedak ni!)
Salam
Memang betul apa Oldstock kata, Lido is not what it used to be...still remember the long drive by Lido Beach at night.
Now with Danga Bay, you can't enjoy those simple pleasures anymore.
